Yahweh

This image has a Genesis story behind it. The church I was attending at the time needed a visual right away for a special service of praise and gratitude to God for the seemingly miraculous rescue of a bus full of teenagers on their way to camp. The bus driver was apparently high on drugs and drove off the road on a mountain pass; a few more feet and the bus would have plunged down a deep ravine. I found an appropriately sized painting in the studio and quickly painted over it with the image of God’s hand (using my own hand in a mirror as the model) reaching down to earth. Written below is the personal name of God in Hebrew which means “I AM.”
