WALL TEXT
Fairly self-explanatory, we see the hand and a portion of the head of a dejected Peter whose third denial of Christ has just been confirmed by the Cock's crowing. The fence is a pictorial device that allows Peter to be placed in proximity of the rooster while also recalling his divided heart, his isolation from his master and his hiding from the community at this moment. The fence might just be the central character in this narrative.
