WALL TEXT
This painting on an unstretched canvas, in my imagination, takes the form of a Tallit or prayer shawl. The symbolism reinforces the central theme of Christ’s redemptive love for humanity. Christ’s wounded hands have literally become my wings, lifting me ever higher to God Himself. The handcuffs hanging at the corners, where tzitzits (fringes that remind the wearer to obey God’s commandments) are customarily found, remind us of Paul’s admonition in Colossians 4:18 to “remember my chains.”
