WALL TEXT
Inspired by the parable of the lost sheep, this painting depicts a young shepherd who leaves his flock of ninety-nine to find the one that has wandered away. His joyful return, with the rescued sheep resting on his shoulders, reflects God’s compassionate love: He seeks those who have lost their way and rejoices when they are found.
