The subject of Mary wiping Jesus’ feet with her hair is one that I have done many versions of.
Her hands are emphasized to suggest the intimacy of the act, evoking an embrace. I usually give ears, in this case Mary’s--prominence, indicating that the hearer is listening to the Holy Spirit. Mary’s face seems to meld into Jesus’ foot, again emphasizing the love between them.
