Jesus prophesied that Peter would deny knowing Him three times before the rooster crowed. This prophecy was fulfilled in all four Gospels (Matthew 26:34, Mark 14:30, Luke 22:34, John 13:38) on the night of Jesus’ arrest, leading Peter to weep bitterly. The crowing serves as a spiritual wake-up call for Peter (and now for mankind) --representing his failure in loyalty while also initiating his restoration.
