WALL TEXT
This is a rather wry interpretation of the “love in action” verses of Romans 12:9-21. Some of these verses have been scrawled onto the background, almost hiding two blue hands bearing red wounds. The rectangular structure represents the Church. The budding plants are artichoke thistles, indigenous to my area of California. I often use them as a symbol of Christ because of the crown-like thorns and royal purple flowers. So here, the branches are striving upward toward the cross and, in the process, “working out their salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12).”
