WALL TEXT
Ezekiel 4 and 5 is a prophetic sign-act where the prophet Ezekiel symbolically enacts the siege and famine of Jerusalem and the resulting exile of its people. Through dramatic actions, he portrays their sin, their imminent judgment, and their future suffering among the nations. I imagined this as a performance art piece: drawing the city on a brick, lying on his side to bear the years of Israel's and Judah's iniquity, and baking bread from a mixture of grains over cow dung. Ezekiel dramatized the impending destruction and the people's consequences for their rebellion against God.
