WALL TEXT
The phrase "He led captivity captive" is from Ephesians 4:8. According to tradition, during the three days Christ was in the tomb, He descended into the underworld to preach to the saints who had died before hearing the gospel. In this illustration, we see Christ helping them out of their coffins, while those in the background readily hail the “good news.” This represents Christ’s complete victory over Satan, who lies pinned under His feet at the edge of hell.
