Search Tips

  1. BulletID number: every image on this site has a unique ID number from 1 to 4 digits. This number can be found in the “Images” or “Search” sections of the site next to each image. You may use this number to identify images for questions or inquiries.

  2. BulletTitle: if you know the title of the image you are looking for you may enter it in the search box. Individual words or phrases can also be searched for.

  3. BulletYear: search for images by the year in which the piece was created by entering the 2 digit year into the search box, preceded by an apostrophe (for example, 1997 would be entered as ’97).

  4. BulletDimensions: enter the specific height or width of the piece you are looking for in inches. Height always appears before width. For quarter and half-inch increments round down and enter the lower whole number.

  5. BulletMedium: each piece has a primary medium (usually oil or charcoal), a support (usually canvas or paper), and sometimes a secondary medium (usually acrylic).

  6. BulletPrice: prices are determined by each piece’s dimensions and media, and are rounded to the nearest $25 increment. Include commas for thousands.

  7. BulletGenre: every image fits into one of 16 categories, which can be found in the “Images” section of the site
